Sandomierz is a picturesque city by the Vistula River situated on the Sandomierz Basin in the south-eastern Poland. It is located on seven highlands that why it is also named the Little Rome. In the Middle Ages it was one of the royal cities - up to nowadays it has an original urban planning. The monuments in Sandomierz are very valuable in the scale of Polish and European cultural heritage.
The tourists can admire the royal castle from Kazimierz The Great times. Next to that there is the old town with the fortifications. Sandomierz is formed by relics from various art’s directions. The cathedral Basilica and the town hall are especially worth to see them.
